Dirty holds on
-
Captain Matt Tambor, skipper of Down & Dirty, was sure he would lose the Yamaha Contender Miami Billfish Tournament in its final round Sunday. With five sailfish releases Friday and Saturday, Down & Dirty had a mere one-fish lead over runner-up Reel Tension.
"I'm going to get knocked out of it early," Tambor grumbled Saturday afternoon.
He guessed one thing right about Sunday: he didn't catch any fish. But neither did Reel Tension, so Tambor and his team - Franco Zamboli, Leo Dominguez, Aron Nuyssbaum and A.J. Willis - split more than $62,400 in prize money.
